One Piece Odyssey, a video interview with the producer reveals new details about the game

With the announcement of One Piece Odyssey also comes the first video diary containing an interview with the producer of Bandai Namco, Katsuaki Tsuzuki, responsible for the new game on the famous series, from which several other details emerge.

We have seen the first trailer of the new role-playing game for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S announced just in these hours by Bandai Namco, while from this interesting interview derive more information about this title, which looks like a real action RPG based on the series of Eiichiro Oda.

It seems that the game has been in development for quite some time, being a big title, which the developers define as a JRPG, focused on an original story. The basic idea was to try to offer a game that could reproduce the sense of adventure typical of the manga/anime series but in video game form.

The same Eiichiro Oda, author of the original series, was directly involved in the development for the creation of some original elements: in addition to the characters, the author was also character designer for several enemies and helped the design of some new scenarios in the game.

In addition to having a main story built specifically for the game, but obviously related to events and characters in the series of manga and anime, One Piece Odyssey also contains special features such as dungeons and missions, which apparently will be revealed in more detail with the next materials.
